Real wood flooring and doors made of local larch, wrought-iron lamps, sinks and door hardware, furniture made of local pine, loden and dolomite. Classic handicrafts make your holidays extra special, just as we would want.
Natural materials & tangible qualityshow
The hand-made furnishings and the local materials that were used give the Rocca Apartments their own unique character: real, authentic, cosy. Traditional materials and shapes with a modern interpretation.
Real wood floors and doors made of local larch. The region is characterised by coniferous forests. Wood has always placed an important role in South Tyrol architecture. Larch wood is resistant, durable and dimensionally stable.
Lamps, sinks and door hardware made of wrought iron. Iron, fire and water, plus the strength and knowledge of a master blacksmith. This fine craftsmanship enriches the Rocca Apartments. Filigree and functional objects from the artistic blacksmith’s shop Steidl in Innervillgraten, East Tyrol.
Furniture made of steamed, local pine. The Swiss pine tree, also known as the queen of the Alps, has been known for its positive qualities for hundreds of years, and is popular above all in bedrooms. Carpenter Andreas Holzer makes one of a kind items for absolute well-being. Through the natural steam treatment, the original qualities are maintained and the wood becomes even more durable.
Loden. This material made of shrunk wool is natural, wind and water resistant, sturdy and breathable.
